A mission-driven community health organization is seeking an Associate Medical Director to provide clinical care while leading providers and supporting medical operations. This suits a physician who wants to stay engaged in patient care while also shaping clinical practice, supporting providers, and driving operational excellence within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Position Highlights
- $267,000-$318,000 per year, plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus
- 20 hours per week of patient care and 20 hours per week of medical leadership
- Lead and supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants across multiple clinic locations

Responsibilities
- Provide direct outpatient patient care alongside the provider team
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and provider coverage
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer on clinical protocols, quality improvement, peer review, and compliance
- Support medical students and residents rotating through the clinic
Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted California medical license
- Residency and background in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Experience in both clinical leadership and healthcare operations or provider management
- Community health center experience preferred
- OCHIN Epic experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish, Korean, or Russian preferred
