Voll Lateral Ledger
Send us your resume. We send back what you are worth.
What firms like yours have actually been paying, who has been hiring lawyers at your level, and the honest answer when the honest answer is that you are already at the top of your market.
What your work pays
The range firms are advertising for your practice at your level, with the number of postings behind every figure, and whether you sit inside it.
Who would look at you
Which firm tiers are realistic, what is open at your level today, and which of the markets we measure are strongest for your practice.
Whether to move at all
Timing, the moves that are open, and the case against moving when there is one. If you are already at the top of your market, the report says so.
Built on 18,253 job postings across 51 markets, written by the firms themselves.
Start your report
Your resume, read properly.
Before you upload: what you send is kept and added to our recruiting records, and a recruiter here may contact you about roles that fit. Your current employer is never contacted, and nothing is sent to any firm unless you ask. Privacy notice.

How it works
Three steps, and the numbers never come from a guess.
Step 1: Send the resume
We read it the way a hiring partner reads it: what you actually practise, how senior you really are, which market you sit in, and what the arc of your moves says about you.
Step 2: We price you against the market
Not against opinion. Against what firms wrote in their own job postings, plus who has been moving where. Every figure arrives with the number of postings behind it.
Step 3: Leave one email, and read
While the report builds we ask for an email so it has somewhere to go. The report opens on the page the moment it is done, with a permanent link of its own.
What comes back
Ten answers. Including the unwelcome ones.
Every report has all ten. A section with nothing behind it says so plainly rather than filling itself in, and every figure is shown with the number of postings behind it.

The deal
What we keep.
We keep what you send. Your resume text and the report we build from it are stored, and they go into our recruiting records. If your background fits something we are working on, one of our recruiters may contact you about it. You can ask us to delete everything at any time and we will.
Your current employer is never contacted. Not to verify anything, not for a reference, not at any point. No firm sees your resume, and no submission is ever made anywhere, unless you tell us to.
The numbers come from what firms disclosed in their own job postings, and every figure is shown with how many postings are behind it. The methodology and the privacy notice spell both halves out.
