Pediatric Urgent Care | Multiple Openings | Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin, TX

Voll Recruiting is recruiting NPs and PAs for an expanding pediatric urgent care group with clinics across the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin metros. They are adding NPs and PAs in all three regions as part of a 20-clinician expansion. If you want to spend your day treating kids in a focused outpatient setting, with a group that is hiring at scale rather than backfilling one departure, this is worth a conversation.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • Multiple openings across the group, not a single seat - the team is being built out now
  • Dedicated pediatric care, so your whole day is kids rather than a mixed panel
  • Outpatient clinic setting, not an emergency department
  • A regional coverage model: you are based in one region and may work across its clinics, which keeps the schedule varied and the commute local
  • A growing multi-clinic group across three Texas metros, with room to move between sites and into lead roles as it expands

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute pediatric illness and injury in a fast-paced urgent care setting
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, point-of-care testing and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures including laceration repair, initial fracture management, splinting and reduction of nursemaid's elbow
  • Recognize higher-acuity conditions and decide when referral or escalation is appropriate
  • Counsel parents and caregivers clearly on diagnosis, medication and follow-up, and coordinate with the child's primary care pediatrician
  • Document accurately and on time in the EHR

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioners: current unencumbered Texas RN/APRN licensure and active national certification as a PNP or FNP. An FNP with real pediatric volume is genuinely in scope here, not a stretch
  • Physician Assistants: current Texas PA license and active NCCPA certification
  • Minimum 2 years practising as an NP or PA
  • Pediatric clinical experience strongly preferred, and pediatric urgent care, emergency medicine or other fast-paced clinical experience is explicitly welcome - you do not need a pediatrics-only resume to be taken seriously
  • Current BLS through the American Heart Association
  • PALS is required within 90 days of hire, not at application, and the group pays for BLS and PALS renewal
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, not required

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance
  • Company-paid basic life insurance, plus voluntary life and disability
  • 401(k) and paid time off
  • Professional development reimbursement and company-paid BLS/PALS renewal
  • Free in-clinic and telemedicine visits for you and eligible dependents

Compensation is set on experience, qualifications and employment classification, and is discussed on the call. We talk to you first and get you a straight answer on comp, hours and which clinics you would cover before you ever sit in front of the group.
